Did you know there’s a lunch-only katsu curry specialty shop in Nishinouchi, Koriyama City?
Curry-loving Gurutto staff went to cover it 🍛

The intriguing shop name is “豚久（とんきゅう）” 🐖
In fact, at night the place operates as “鳥久（とりきゅう）,” where you can enjoy a yakitori course 🐔

Inside, the U-shaped counter makes a strong impression and it’s easy to drop by even when you’re alone!
There are also table seats, so visiting with friends or family is recommended.





And now, the katsu curry everyone’s curious about!
The freshly fried cutlet is sliced in the kitchen at the center of the shop.
You can hear the deliciously crispy sound.

A boldly present cutlet sits atop the curry.
The crispy coating and tender, moist meat are absolutely delicious!
It’s not greasy and goes down easily, making it a great choice for women as well.
The curry has a gentle sweetness that pairs wonderfully with the cutlet 🍛
Sprinkle garam masala and ichimi chili as you like to suit your taste.



There are several toppings, and I chose cheese 🧀
The fluffy natural cheese, grated with a grater, pairs perfectly with the curry roux!
There were also soft-boiled egg and sausage toppings!
And a refill of curry roux is just 10 yen!!
Add extra curry and enjoy it to the very end 🍛
