Said to be over 1,000 years old and counted among Japan’s three great cherry trees, its imposing presence leaves a deep impression on all who see it.

About 1,300 cherry trees bloom in profusion at Kaiseizan Park and Kaiseizan Daijingu Shrine.
The beautiful cherry-blossom tunnel was also used as a filming location for the movie 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.'
You can enjoy cherry-blossom viewing day and night with food stalls and illumination.

Near Kikuta Station, centered around the Horinouchi Bridge over the Fujita River, Somei Yoshino cherry trees bloom splendidly along both banks for 3 km.

A weeping cherry tree over 200 years old, this rare variant is said to be a spontaneous mutation of the cherry species “Ubahigan”.

五百淵 is said to have been created as an irrigation pond.
五百淵池 and its surroundings are lively with swallows in summer and ducks in winter, and serve as a valuable wild bird habitat in the urban area.

Built in 1662 as an irrigation pond, it is said that the rice paddies irrigated by this pond were kept brimming with water.

Built in 1924 to commemorate Koriyama's incorporation as a city, this stylish Western-style building exudes Taisho Romanticism with a Renaissance flair.
The row of cherry trees at the public hall, said to be the earliest to bloom in the city, brings spring to Koriyama.

A hermitage said to be where the Muromachi-period painter-monk "Sesson" spent his final years.
