We’re already halfway through April of the new season. The temperature has been fluctuating a lot—how is everyone feeling?

The cherry trees around the station and at Kaiseizan have about half turned to leaves, but one of Koriyama’s charms is that if you leave the city center, there are still plenty of spots to enjoy the blossoms.

Near Kikuta Station, centered around the Horinouchi Bridge over the Fujita River, Somei-Yoshino trees are in glorious bloom for 3 km along both banks.
They bloom a little later than in other areas, and as of April 15 they are beginning to fall, but it still looks like you can fully enjoy hanami 🌸
They are illuminated at night, and night sakura × Fujita River makes for very photogenic shots ◎
