2nd Session (11 times a year) Agricultural Experience Project “May: Rice Planting”
We will hold the 2nd session of the children's agricultural experience project, "Rice Planting Experience," in the rice fields of Ouse-machi, Koriyama City.
It's a hands-on program where children enter the paddy fields and plant seedlings themselves to learn how the rice they usually eat is grown. While feeling the mud, the scents of nature, and learning about farmers' work, they can experience “living learning” that you can't get from textbooks alone.
How is rice made?
Why not come find the answer right in the paddies?
We will hold the 2nd session of the children's agricultural experience project, "Rice Planting Experience," in the rice fields of Ouse-machi, Koriyama City.
In the first session last month, we sowed seeds for rice seedlings.
This month, we will plant the grown seedlings by hand; while feeling the mud and fresh air, children can enjoy learning about eating, growing food, and local jobs.
New participants from this month and one-off monthly participation are both welcome.
